Account Information. When you register for GeoCheckr, we collect your name, email address, and payment information (processed securely by Creem).

Audit Data. When you run a URL audit, we collect the URL you submit and the generated audit results. We do not store the full page content of audited URLs permanently — only the structured audit results needed to display your history.

Usage Data. We automatically collect certain information about your interaction with the service, including page views, feature usage, and error logs. This data is anonymized where possible.

Cookies. We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookie settings through your browser.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the GeoCheckr service
• Process payments through Creem
• Send service-related communications (billing, technical notices, security updates)
• Respond to your support requests
• Generate anonymized aggregate statistics for product improvement

We do not use your audit data to train AI models or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers located in Japan. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption in transit via TLS 1.3
• Encrypted data storage at rest
• Regular security audits and updates
• Access controls limiting employee data access

You may delete your audits at any time through your dashboard. Account deletion is available upon request by emailing [email protected].

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Audit results are retained for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Creem — Payment processing. Creem receives your payment information but we do not store full payment credentials.
• GitHub — Source code hosting and CI/CD. No personal data is shared.
• Analytics — We use anonymized analytics to understand feature usage. No personal data is shared.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not share your data with advertising networks.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have the following rights:

• Right to Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to Deletion — Request deletion of your personal data.
• Right to Data Portability — Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Right to Object — Object to processing of your personal data for legitimate interests.
• Right to Non-Discrimination (CCPA) — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or through the service. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
